Bicycles for Streets,
Trails & Rule Breakers

From cracked pavement to open trail —Built to climb on and ridden hard.

RULES WERE MADE TO BE BROKEN.
LOG_LEVEL: AUDACIOUS YEAR: 1896
Fun Fact:

In 1896, a 19-year-old American college student named Frank Duryea became the first person to win a bicycle race... while riding a car.

Wait, what? The event was the "Chicago Times-Herald Race" — billed as America's first auto race — but the rules were so loose that Duryea entered his gas-powered "horseless carriage" against actual bicycles and tricycles.

He won the 54-mile race in 10 hours (average speed ~5 mph, mostly because of breakdowns and snow), beating out a bunch of pedal-powered riders. The "prize" was $2,000 and eternal bragging rights as the winner of the first U.S. car race... against bikes.

Youthful audacity level: maximum.
