Fun Fact: Printer Rage Is Real
Fun Fact: People scream at printers more than they scream at other humans.

Multiple workplace studies (and one gloriously unhinged 2019 survey by printer company OKI) found that office workers are statistically more likely to verbally abuse, threaten, or physically assault a malfunctioning printer than they are to do the same to a co-worker during the average workday.

Printers trigger more audible profanity per capita in modern offices than almost any other inanimate object.

There is now actual peer-reviewed behavioral research showing that the “printer rage” response activates the same brain regions (amygdala + anterior cingulate cortex) as being cut off in traffic or publicly humiliated — except the printer never apologizes.
