    Great product for the price

    Yeah, $3k is hard to justify for a welder. Its about $1000 more than the normal DC rig ESAB makes. But this thing comes with most everything you need to have a small fabrication shop at home. Mig gun does solid wire and flux core and comes with extra tips and large spool of steel wire. You get a stinger and a few electrodes. The stinger is solidly built. You get a medium end quality tig torch. Not top of the line, but does everything you ask it to. Comes with tungsten of various sizes.The sMig alone is worth the price. No settings needed to be messed with. You dont need to understand wire width, speed and other settings. Just turn the dial to the width of plate you are using and weld. It learns how you weld and adjusts in real time. Game changer. I usually spend 20 minutes messing with my old mig welder to get the settings right.Not to mention the biggest selling point here: it welds aluminum. Even on 120amps. Various different types of pulse settings too.The only thing you are missing here for a fab shop is a plasma torch.

    Esab 205ic

    Stick welds a7018 better than any I’ve used very smooth arc control.A/C tig aluminum greatD/C tig worked goodMig works great. It’s replaced my migmaster 250Only issue I see is the pin connection for pedal and gun is very loose looks like it will eventually fail.

    Miller has met its match!

    Highly rated welder that performs like it should. Definitely a great unit to start out on and grow with. Will update later with how it holds up but very excited to get welding and owning this machine for a lifetime!Update: The welder is amazing. From novices to professionals, I have let multiple people use the machine and all have had great things to say about it!

    broken exhaust fan

    first start up and the two small exhaust fans blew apart into 20+ pieces. Tried to use customer support which brings you to esab, Esab points back at amazon seller and nothing gets done. Probably going to have to pay a repair shop hundreds. Would not recommend.

    DO NOT BUY FROM AIRWELD!

    Excellent customer support from ESAB zero from airweld! The unit I got quit working and I contacted airweld and got the run around. So I bypassed airweld and contacted ESAB directly, my issue got resolved immediately. A new unit was shipped out to a store near me for pick up. Buy with confidence knowing that ESAB stands behind their product. Now about the machine… This thing will make a welder do amazing work. It will make a beginner do acceptable welds right out of the box (with argon/CO2). This welder is made in the USA and is of exceptional quality. It comes with a no hassle 100 day “refund or replace” guarantee to the purchaser. With this machine you can use stick, mig or tig to complete your welding jobs. It also comes with a big pedal which is easily a hundred dollar value. The display panel is very intuitive and easy to navigate the menus. The jog dial is glove friendly and the “work clamp” (grounding clamp) is not junk it works well. Over all this machine is exceptional and I would consider it to be worthy of it’s price tag because the only thing it’s missing to complete a home fab shop is, as others have said the plasma cutting torch. This unit is a “one and done” type purchase. For the home shop it’s really all you will ever need. Buy one, I guarantee you will like it.
