1st time with STRONGHERO3d PLA, not my last; great quality prints!
Wow, this is some amazing filament! I print with nozzle at 205° and bed at 60°, usually have bed at 50°, but this seems to need a bit more heat. The colors with this VERTIGO GALAXY RAINBOW are great, the print amazing and the feel of the finish piece is like nothing I’ve ever printed, just wonderful.I’ll be trying one of the other colors, certainly, but will be searching for the right models to print with this filament, for sure! Happy printing for all!!May 2023; I just purchased a roll of the Galaxy Glitter Black filament; although I would describe the color more of a glitter gun metal grey, not deep or dark enough to call black. While it looks good printed, it takes some effort to get the setting right in order to get good bed adhesion for the first couple of layers. Stronghold3D’s settings recommendations vary a bit between what they list here and on their website with temps and speeds. This being said, I am finding the following tweaks are helping with good first layer adhesion and smooth prints: light layer of glue stick made the greatest difference, 220°/50°, 35 mm/s speed and set your initial layer width to 120%. I also added a brim to the prints and that helped immensely. No one or two of these changes helped alone, but together I’m not having issues. The price of the Galaxy filament is very good, as is the finished print, so I probably would buy this again. When my project is complete, I will add pictures more pictures to this review.

Exceptional Quality and Stunning Prints!
I’ve been 3D printing for years, and Stronghero3D’s PLA filament truly stands out as one of the best I’ve used. From the moment I opened the spool, I could tell it was well-made — neatly wound, no tangles, and vacuum-sealed perfectly to keep out moisture. The print quality is phenomenal. Layer adhesion is consistent, extrusion is buttery smooth, and I didn’t experience a single clog or jam during long prints. The diameter tolerance is tight and accurate, which really helps maintain even flow and dimensional precision in every print. What really impressed me was the color — it’s deep, vibrant, and has a subtle sheen that makes every model look professionally finished right off the printer. It’s ideal for both functional parts and artistic pieces. The filament also has a great balance of strength and flexibility, with no brittleness even after multiple spools. It adheres beautifully to the bed with standard PLA settings (200°C nozzle, 60°C bed) and releases cleanly once cooled. Minimal stringing, zero warping, and excellent detail resolution even on fine features. In short, Stronghero3D nailed it — reliable, high-quality filament that performs as well as brands twice the price. I’ll definitely be buying more colors from them!

Absolutely Horrible
I’d give this 0 stars if at all possible. Bought the Black/Red dual back in May of this year. Finally found a project to use it on. Worst purchase ever. Tried various settings over the course of the past week and every single print failed after the first few layers. Bed adhesion was non existent for half the plate each attempt. Stringing was out of this world. Looked like something from a horror movie. When my last attempt finally started, it was looking good and I got my hopes up. Print failed less than a quarter way through. Reason? Massive clog in my extruder that was a nightmare to remove. It didn’t matter what temps or speeds I used. Washed and dried the plate several times. Tried different glues, tried hairspray, used nothing. Ran through the dyer for hours. Absolutely nothing worked. I’m currently printing the exact same file, using the original settings and a different brand of filament of the same color bought at the same time and am having zero issues. I will keep this brand in my list, with a massive note to avoid this brand.

Beautiful But Don’t Treat It Like PLA
To describe the filament and how it prints I have to be honest, it’s absolutely beautiful. It prints just as beautifully once you figure out how to get it to stick to the plate. It is a translucent ruby red with light glitter. When backlit or brightly lit it is raspberry red, but when in shadow or dim lighting it is almost purplish as in drying blood. This would be really great stuff for blood on figurines.I printed a benchy and the quarter millimeter layer lines were almost invisible. And when I did a ringing test with no input shaping and no pressure advance, ringing was almost invisible and the corners looked quite nice as though pressure advanced settings were enabled. In summary once I figured out how to get it to stick to the plate I quite like printing with this stuff even the overhangs came out really nice. I just had to change the way I thought about it not so much as PLA or PETG but something in between.Settings I ended up using with a 0.6mm nozzle were: -0.25 mm layers, -0.6 mm widths -Speeds of 60 mm per second, with the first layer of being at -20 mm per second -8.0 mm wide brim -Nozzle temp of 220 (possibly even higher) -Bed temperature at least 65 (60 was too low) -No fan until the sixth layer (for a benchy) and only about 60% fan for the rest of the print. -1.0 mm retractions at a speed of 60 mm/s (direct drive)Something else I found quite interesting. Everyone has their cursed role of filament that they just can’t get to print correctly. Well mine is another roll of filament by the same manufacturer Stronghero3D, but green and black. Labelled as just a PLA, I only really ever tried PLA settings for it, and I never did have any success. So after printing with the red and black stuff I pulled out the green and black and used the exact same settings and made a benchy that is identical to the one made with the red only it’s green.

Good filament once you disregard the packaging
Would work fine for small models with stock PLA settings/temps recommended on the spool. Any larger items would have tons of issues with stringing/ puffiness and would completely ruin prints, along with tons of clogs and bed adhesion issues. After getting incredibly frustrated and getting ready to just throw the spool away, I read some reviews to make sure I was not crazy.I noticed that it was actually a coextruded filament with PLA & PETG. I tried my larger prints again with the Bambu slicer generic PETG profile and all of my issues with this filament stopped. So though the spool and listing highlight the PLA part of this coextruded filament, I have found that to get success I needed to print it like PETG.Otherwise, strength seems a bit low but the color is very nice, great for showpieces

Good Quality, not the cheap stuff.
Like my second or 3rd time purchasing. Very good quality. Neatly spooled. Can print fast. No stringing. No clumping. And all customers love the look. I personally am very picky about how 3D prints look. I’m not huge into layer lines, this filament(printing on the P1S by BambuLabs) prints exceptionally well and you’d hardly tell it’s 3D printed. Also I’m not super into the changing color prints; imo it makes the prints look cheap, this has that effect but still looks like quality and I think it has something to do with the matte style finish. All in all it’s a great buy, great to print dragons, fire themes, red, sun, etc..

Beautifully Horrible Filament
The 5 out of 25 bears I printed were beautiful amber like color. But 2 different print the filament would not stick to the plate. The nozzle became clogged and spaghetti was everywhere. Even tore rubber nozzle cover of my Bambu Pro. These are prints I tried with different colors and filament and worked fine. This filament is just BAD! I wish it was good because coolest color I’ve ever seen!

My opinion…
I don’t usually write reviews but I have bout this twice the 2nd roll kept breaking with the last 200 or so grams but I like the metallic finish that it makes. I have seen some of the comments on here about the color change, it works better to have multiple things on one plate thats how we have had good luck. With this it’s hit and miss on quality but hard to find red black metallic. Would I buy again yeah probably….

Beautiful and easy to print silk like filament
I picked up this Stronghero3D PLA filament in the Vertigo Galaxy Rainbow color and I’m seriously impressed. I’ve tried a bunch of different filaments over the past year or so, but this one instantly became one of my favorites. The colors are absolutely beautiful—deep purples, blues, reds, and golds that fade into each other with a really nice sparkle. It’s subtle enough to look classy but still eye-catching. Perfect for gifts, display models, or anything you want to stand out.As far as print performance goes, it was actually pretty easy to work with. I did a few test prints and found the best results came with the nozzle at 240°C and the bed at 65°C. I also kept the speed under 100mm/s, and it made a noticeable difference in the print quality. One tip—definitely use a 0.6mm nozzle or larger with this filament. Because of the glitter in it, a standard 0.4mm nozzle can clog after a while. Ever since switching to 0.6mm, I haven’t had a single issue.I used this filament on both my Ender 3 and Prusa MK3S+ and it printed smoothly on both. Great bed adhesion, no warping, and very little stringing, even on detailed prints. The dimensional accuracy is solid, just like it says on the product page. I printed everything from small organizers to a decorative mask, and they all came out clean and strong. The spool came vacuum-sealed with a desiccant, and the filament was dry and ready to go right out of the bag. I also liked that they included a resealable bag for storage—little things like that go a long way for keeping filament in good shape.Overall, I’m super happy with this filament. It’s one of those rare ones that looks amazing and also prints well. If you’re looking for a colorful PLA that pops, this one is absolutely worth trying. I’d definitely buy it again.
